Artificial Intelligence is no match for human stupidity

Albert Einstein often remarked, "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

Stupidity, the word comes from the Latin verb, stupere, meaning to feel numb or astonished, and related to the word stupor.

Connectivity in today’s world has defeated all boundaries and information availability is within the blink of eye. Driven by economic pressure, machine is geared to replicate human intelligence. While Human intelligence lies within the brain, uses memory, logic and thought processes, researchers are relentlessly working on developing a sort of substitute for the brain called Artificial Intelligence, which is aimed at providing world marvel gadgets and systems, even robots to improve the quality of human life. Machines will process and analyze large amount of data and access certain co-relating data points at any given point of time across the world and beyond, to make an intelligent decision.

Large amount of data will be analyzed by monitoring surrounding environment through an array of sensors: infrared cameras, proximity sensors, to name a few and make an intelligent decision by using application loaded on our mobile phones, laptops or any other machine. This technology is in the evolving stage and will soon be a significant part of every aspect of our life, i.e. Health Sciences, Transportation, Agriculture Sciences, Education and many other fields. In the near future, it is expected to radically change the way economies and the businesses operate globally.

Having said as above, it still holds good that our emotional well-being, happiness and contentment comes not from intelligence but from human consciousness, which researchers cannot address by artificial intelligence.
